Did you know?

I don't whether these facts are facts or just another PJ but i found it really intresting...
1. In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bed frames by ropes. When you pulled on the ropes the mattress tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on. Hence the phrase "goodnight, sleep tight".

2. It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month or what we know today as the honeymoon.

3. In ancient England a person could not have s * x unless you had consent of the King (unless you were in the Royal Family). When anyone wanted to have a baby, they got consent of the King, the King gave them a placard that they hung on their door while they were having S * x.The placard had F*.*.K (Fornication Under Consent of the King) on it.Now you know where that word came from.

4. In Scotland, a new game was invented. It was entitled Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden... and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.

Extremely interesting indeed! :) thanks for the uploading the pic tip...haven't done it yet :) thanks see ya.

Tell you what, the best blog I've seen is http://www.karanmisra.com/ which is the blog of a guy from Delhi Public School, RKP now studying in Stanford.

And other great blogs are googleblog.blogspot.com, www.lnexun.com

Hey ppl,
Please help me create my site. It's very much underdevelopment at http://iy2.hostrocket.com/new/index1.html
Give me suggestions as to what to add to it. Just visit the site you'll see what it is..

Hi Rajesh
It seems the person who has given you all this information has a truly creative mind with a knack for coincidences. I won't say they are all baseless, but most of it is.

And since you mentioned THE word (fornication under the king), here is a truly hilarious site for your viewing pleasure.

Get a wordpress hosting, and design a blog there. I don't get the idea of putting so much effort on the blogger just to achieve small things when you can do much much more with php and prototype library.

Peace out :)
