Close Encounter With Bee Kind

Monday, February 27, 2006

Everybody loves honey specially...I love it with milk...it is very nutritious and tasty..etc..etc.. in this post I don't want to bore you with the nutritional values of Honey... but I would like to share my todays encounter with SWARM of honey bees...It was terrifying stuation....exactly what happened Joydeep Bhattacharyya (my Dear Friend) and I were going to have some tea from outside(market) as on our way he suddenly suggested that we should take this road (here we have infinite ways to go outside) but I said no we'll take another road which I found much shortcut then other one..... on our way we were discussing about our assignments(now days we are floooded with exams and assignments) and that time two more people were walking side by side they were also from our institutue.

Suddenly Joydeep said dekhna to Madhumakhi hai ki kya hai??(just look...whether it is bee or soething else)....at that time there was only one bee...I took my handout of Public System and tried to flew that away....later after 5-10 second I realised that we all four were surrounded with swarm of bees..I don't know from where they appered at once....but situation was horrifying... I felt that we were ambushed by bees...... they all were attacking us from all directions...but..some how we managed to save ourself from sting....and get ourself in safer place..... at that time I noticed that........ a gal...was screaming and crying...coz she was surrounded with bees...lots of bees were inside of her hair...and neck.......

when I saw that...she is in trouble I rushed to her and suggested just run away from here....till that moment not a single bee had touched me but when I went near to her to rescue her...I found myself in great trouble....but.....I took my handout as weapon of mass bees destruction to save myself.....there I noticed that she ran to safer place, but in panic.....she left her moblie phone there......so I took her mobile phone start running...in this whole rescue scene 4 bees successfully left their stings in my body...one on my ear, two on my right hand and 4th on my back..... now i have swollen ear, hand and back... I feeling very........ :(((

This was'nt my frist close encounter with bees..I had my first close encounter with bees kind...when I was in 3rd class... Tha's why I'd an experience how one feels when swarm of bees attack someone..you just lose your mind and can't think anything at time besides screaming and running...some people even forget to run...

Caller: I'm Sum Wan .And I need to talk to Annie Wan! It's urgent.

Operator: I know u are someone and u want to talk to anyone! But what's this urgent matter about?

Caller: Well just tell my sister Annie Wan that our brother, Noe Wan was involved in an accident. Noe Wan got injured and now Noe Wan is being sent to the hospital. Right
now, Avery Wan is on his way to the hospital.

Operator: Look if no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital from the accident that isn't an urgent matter! You may find this hilarious but I don't have time for this!

Caller: You are so rude! Who are you?

Operator: I'm Saw Lee.

Project - Flying Car

Friday, February 24, 2006

This evening I was busy with a consumer behaviour's case study which took 4 hours to solve, after that Joydeep and I went to AIM Cafe to have tea there we flooded with several assignments and one of them was of Strategic management in which we have to choose one unique product and make a global strategy to make it a successful global product so we decided two product Tele-transportation and flying car later we decided to take flying car as our product coz it is more reallistic and feasible.
Assignment : Create a Global Business!

Student teams will develop a global business strategy based on the sale of a product or service. The team will be required to write a strategic plan for 3 years. The strategic plan will contain:

• A mission and vision statement for the corporation
• An organizational structure
• A set of business assumptions
• A global marketing, manufacturing, materials, procurement, finance and human
resource plan
• Specific implementation strategies
Later when i start gathering info about it i found very intresting things like -

1) Flying car in Google Earth

Someone sent an interesting Google Earth placemark to The Register which shows a satellite photo of what appears to be a flying car near a parking lot in near Perth, Australia.
I'm not so sure about this one.. If the vehicle really was 3 - 4 meters high (which is about 9 - 12 feet), and doing 80 knots, I would think that it would plow straight into the trees. If it were heading the other direction I don't think it could have gotten to 80 knots in what appears to be about 15 feet (5 meters) from the tree line, if accelerating from a dead stop. There's also the question of momentum involved. That picture seems to indicate the area where the car is located is surrounded on 3 sides by trees / foliage. I'd think the car would have slammed into the trees shortly (within a second or two) after the photo was snapped.

My guess is either the car is on some kind of elevated display (perhaps the supports were narrow enough that the satellite photo didn't capture shadows from them), or it could be a hoax - you know, put something black on the ground at a believable distance / angle from the car so that it -appears- that the car is casting a shadow from about 9 feet up.
2) Moller's Skycar

Moller International has developed the first and only feasible, personally affordable, personal vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle the world has ever seen. You've always known it was just a matter of time before the world demanded some kind of flying machine which would replace the automobile. Of course, this machine would have to be capable of VTOL, be easy to maintain, cost effective and reliable. Well, we at Moller International believe we have come up with the solution. That solution is the volantor named M400 Skycar.....Read More

>>Flying car in Google Earth -

I think it is two cars, one white and a black one.. but if we look another cars at the parking we can see that each car has it's own shadows but these two cars don't and gives some kind of illusion of white flying car with black shadow...

>>Moller's Skycar -

Once I saw one documentry film of flying cars in Discovery channel, but i never searched it on net. today when i did some googling i found it very intresting thing and now these Moller guys are even selling flying cars... great... i wish that one day i will fly my own flying car... Universe in my mind

Thursday, February 23, 2006

I always wonder why universe is so big, what is the need and purpose to make so vast, I've many strange and weird thoughts about it, every body belives that the universe has started with a Big Bang from a singularity, coz Hubble prooved it by showing is universe expanding, Now starting.. is fine.. but the question is what is there... outside of the universe.

How big is it?

Universe is expanding and I'm taking my computer as starting point....

My computer>>MY room>>My hostel>>My Institute (AIM-k)>>Command Hospital complex (Kolkata)>>New Alipore>>Kolkata>>India>>Asia>>World(Earth>>Mars>>...Pluto>>Out of Solar Syatem>>Alfa Century(nearest Star)>>So many stars(500 billion)>>Out of Milky Way - Our Galaxy>> Endromeda(Our nearest Galaxy)>>So Many Galaxies(100 Billion)>>Out of our universe (whose diametre is 3 trillion light year but we can only peek as far as 13 billion light year)>>what is here out of the universe>>Other Universe or multiverse(a place where continously new universe born due to collision of existing universe)>>It is a place where science stops thinking but not mine>>Here starts polyverse which is made of 100 billion multiverse>> multipolyverse(made up of 100 billion polyverse)...
Now I would like to wake you up from dream world and tell you how far we've reached.. If we wanna travel to the nearest star(Proxima Centauri Alpha Cen C) with the fastest spacecraft that we've then it'll take 5 million years to reach alfa century.. then you can imagine how many years it will take to reach to multipolyverse...

Now my Parallel Universe Concept.

I believe Parallel universe is just hypothesis given by our scientist in order to solve the grand father paradox of time travel, But I always think beyond scientist (with weird logic), if parallel universe is there then why it is there, scientist claims that there are so many universe with different shapes and size like donut etc. they continuously move from its place (due to gravity) some times they cross and go through each other and due to collision of its surface new universe born.. well my thoughts behind parallel universe is that if it is really there, then there must be some purpose behind it and the purpose is time travel yes time travel the same old concept but with new angle, here i'm not talking it by humans but by God, no matter how advance is god but he has to follow the physical rules, so to overcome infinite paradoxes he made the concept of parallel universe...weeiiiered na..

Why universe is so big?

Noone knows who is GOD, where he lives, where is heaven (if its his home), nobody knows, some people says that he is inside of us but if we try concentrate and try to loacate Him.....no we can never find him...even if we try....to loacate ourself... where are we in your body, we'll find that it is very hard to locate ourself in your body. well I was talking about GOD (God please forgive me...these are just my weird thoughts and nothing else), so nobody knows where he lives..... i believe that he don't want to tell us where he lives that’s why he made universe so big that no matter how advance we get, we never be able to reach him ever.... yeah right now you are thinking that we can reach him through meditation or Tapasya etc.. but who knows that those who practice.. really could able to meet him or not, may be he lives in multipolyverse or even out skirt of that, may be he has very advance technology like wormholepathy it is a advance version of telepathy and wormhole travels, so that he can reach us easily but we can't.

Here.... may be you are thinking all these things are just weird but have you ever heard of Raeliens community who believes that life in earth is seeded by aliens and they continuously come here to check our progress (strange).

Well all we can do is ponder in the wonder of thoughts...

I've read this somewhere that -

"We think universe is very strange place....but universe is far beyond stranger than our imagination"

Rang De Basanti

Friday, February 10, 2006

On 3rd Feb 2006 I watched Rang De Basanti... i wanted to blog about it but i could'nt coz... I was and I'm toooooo bezeee with Annual Day preparation, I'm participating in Western Dance and we are trying too hard for it's sucess.... I really enjoy dancing in group this is the first time when I'll be on the stage for any type of Dance.....
well about the movie..I went theatre with 3 friends of mine, two of them had already blogged their view in their blog like I'd mentioned them after the theme of the movie.
Theme :
A young English film-maker by the name of Sue comes to India with the intention of making a movie about famous Indian revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad. But when the BBC refuses to fund her project she decides to recruit students from Delhi University to act in her documentary. These young chaps include DJ (Aamir Khan), who has always believed that there is not much to look forward to in the real world. So he hides in his studies. Then, there is Karan (Siddharth), the son of a rich businessman. He does not get on with his father but still manages to suck money out of him.

Aslam (Kunal Kapoor), is a middleclass boy, who lives near Jama Masjid. He is a poet, philosopher and guide to his friends. Sukhi (Sharman Joshi), the youngest of the group is innocent, vulnerable, but a real flirt when it comes to women. There is also Laxman Pandey (Atul Kulkarni) who is the fundamentalist in the group. He believes that politics can make the world a better place.Last but not the least we have Sonia (Soha Ali Khan), the only female in the group. A tomboy and vivacious by nature, Sonia is engaged to Ajay (Madhavan), an airline pilot. So as the documentary gathers momentum in its filming, each of the above stars plays two roles - one that belongs to the here-and-now, while the other belongs in the 1920s.
Nidhi : I have always wondered, whether a movie has the power to change you…………
Today I had gone with my friends to see another of aamir khans genius, “Raang they Basanti”…….the theme was pretty good and so was the acting, worth the money.

But it was the discussion and soul-searching we had later which was the best……..there is something inside me which was again ignited today after seeing the movie, and I am not writing this because I am too senti. after the movie nor is it a movie hang-over……….its something which I have always discussed with my close friends earlier, a fire which was always there, but had gone a little cold because of all the tensions and competition I was handling……… possibly its an excuse to hide from the truth, my passion, something which I want to pursue, but when and how its rather difficult to say right now…….

I have always wanted to do something which can bring a change, something which can make this country better, I especially liked a particular dialogue in the movie, it said that “no country is perfect, rather we have to make it better by our contribution to the society”………

But then we get so lost in our own selfish lives we forget about things………I have always wished I were born in a pre-independent India so that this life of mine could be put to use in a much better way, the life I have right now is so useless……..my mba will finish off soon, will join office in march, then I will marry a guy decided by my parents, by the time I get to know him I will have my kids, and by the time I get to know them I will die and will be forgotten like the so, so, so, many people in this world………

I have stood in the busy streets of kolkata and wondered, who am i? what is my place in this world? How am I different from others? what have I done by which people will remember me……what will I leave in this world by which at least some people can better their lives……..

why are we forced to live such selfish lives……….why does the society teach us to turn a blind eye to everything which is wrong, why are we forced to adjust all the time, why are the bad people never punished, why do the poor keep dying and the rich keep getting richer, why is the society dominated by all the bad people, why are the good people killed in broad daylight in front of everyone, why is everyone so selfish, why cant people be happy on others success, why do we live in a world where a person is judged by the brands he/she wears, how cool he/she is, which disco thec’s he/she visits why? why? why????

There are so, so, so, many question and no answers…….

Now again, does a movie has the power to change the society, have I woken up again, will the people finally wake-up, will we be a better world………or will this movie again be passed off as a good movie with good acting and probably which will be sent to the Oscars and then forgotten about………will we learn from it, WILL WE??

the main theme of movie is to make the young generation wake up and fight against country's biggest dirt like corruption etc.The movie gives a feeling of Patriotism, which we forget sometimes ago. But do movie give powers to change the ppl's attitude? Do we have the feelings of patriotism today? Can we change our country from corruption to perfection? Do we have the perfection in ourselves?

We talked about patriotism only when we have an Indo-Pak match or some patriotic movie. Today, we talk a lot about patriotism, but when we get high position, we join the same wagon of corruption. Why? There are many questions, but the answer lies in where we stand, what we are. We have to change our attitude and ourselves. We have to think what we have done. Was it really worthy for the country?

We are the only futures of our country, we have to change it or it will change us.
Well watched another good Aamir Khan movie. All said anddone, the movie is youthful, joyful and handles some serious issues well.

hahaha...very funny indeed...but pretty true...:) ....btw thanks for the review of rang de basanti...i will catch it soon in a weeks time...busy with midterms...he do post pics of ur school performance...the western dance thingy....see ya rajesh!2/11/2006 10:25:00 PM|W|P|Anonymous Rajesh|W|P|@No One: Well movie is tooo good 8/10... i generally don't like hindi movie coz they all are similar based on certain formulas.....like bhai-bhai, maa-beta,baap beta, love triangle and dangeraous villan...all those kind of typical bollywood movie..... but this movie is different from others.....i like this kind of movie with original theme......etc..etc....

Well I'll surely post some images of our annual..day......-->
