Resuming Sacred Matrix blog

I've started blogging in September 2005 nearly 3 years ago, and sacred matrix is one of my 1st blog from which i'd learnt a lot about blogging and all with so many experiments with template and everything but never felt of monetizing it coz there was no need but as soon as i registered my domain for further learning i felt of generating some revenue to fund my online presence although one of my blog is converting my online content value into monetary value handsomely.

But yesterday i got 10th reminder that my bandwidth is about to expire with 98% of usage that triggered an alarm that what if somehow i won't be able to increase my bandwidth or somehow i cud'nt carry on my personal domains cause i travel frequently through out the month and sometimes i won't get time to check even my mail box then how i'll keep up with my blog. so i've thought of resuming this sacred matrix blog once again as if somehow (touch wood) i won't be able to access my personal blog then i'll express myself through this blog maintaining my online presence and earn some dollars to fund my online presence.

Intel Multiply Your Grooves Ad Campaign @ City Centre, Kolkata

Today I got my groove on at Intel's YouTube exhibition at City Centre, Kolkata where Intel technicians demonstrated how the same effect created in Intel's Multiply campaign could be done using consumer hardware and software thanks to Intel's Core2Duo dual core processors, and the next generation of Core2Extreme and Core2Quad featuring four compute engines on one chip. People danced in front of the green screen and Intel produced videos that where then uploaded onto YouTube right from the Intel booth.

I started a bit late as video rolled on coz the music was not that loud. also the mixing of three cam is not that good for first few seconds. but later it catch up and goes in syncro....... i danced in soundtrack of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna "it's the time to disco", I asked intel ppl to play some trance but they didn't may be they knew the taste of the crowd.....What ever but it was great I enjoyed it a lot, hundreds of people were watching me, when i finished up with song.. crowds yelled out very loud and intel ppl said "Do i need to say for applause.... look at the crowed.... wow...."

What they do is that they take the video that has been captured here on the greenscreen and they basically breaking it up in four/three pieces and laying those — so that they’re easily overlaying each other and then using the Adobe Premiere Elements. they use it with what’s called Chroma Key, telling the computer that, that particular color of green remove it any place you see it from the frame. So, then you could see the multiple instances through each other. So, now that gives you the ability to put whatever background you want. Just like the undated (ph) TV news, but is that requiring tens of thousands of hardware. They’re using a Rs 2000 application in their performance PC/Laptop. So, here they’ve used a Core2Duo PC/Laptop. So, they got a lot of computing power to be able to render out these files very quickly and keep people moving through So, it does take hours to render, it takes just a minute. they give your CD in just 9 minutes which include processing your footage and burning data in CD well burning don't take that much time coz it's only 8.86 MB video they just curbed my 4 min video into 53 seconds... so sad.... i want my full length video..... :((

I prefer Google reader to keep myself updated in lil net-e world which has more than zillions of pages which keep updatin every second, n' itz impossible to visit them everytime n' check wether they got somethin new or not, so I use Google reader cause it’s the best RADAR as far I know to track the sites which gives me uncluttered simple view of my favorite feeds, from last 9 months the time from when I got employed I’m using it extensively cause I get few minutes to get myself updated i know I’m too busy.

I’ve noticed that from last 48 hours my Lil Google reader has piled up with feeds of Pipes of yahoo, everybody is writing about it from the time it has launched (7th feb 07) . So I thought I should try to find out what the heck it is I thought I should also pen down something about it some of my findings. Well I don’t have any extraordinary findings it’s all the same crap that geeky people is writing about from its documentation page. So here I go.

What is Pipes?

Pipes is a free online service that lets you remix popular feed types and create data mashups using a visual editor. You can use Pipes to run your own web projects, or publish and share your own web services without ever having to write a line of code.

Confused what da hell it is??

Well it means you can use Pipes to pick a few feeds to retrieve data from, set up rules for processing the data which is provided by those feeds, prompt for user input in your processing, and then output the processed results as another feed or object format for use in your own applications. In the simplest case, you can apply some straightforward rules to a feed and then subscribe to the end result. – Anil Dash

Pipes can take any feed as input, and combined with the already available list of functions proves to be very powerful, It was inevitable that such a product would be released, and it is very good for Yahoo! that they managed to be the first of the big web companies to release such a product. - Nik Cubrilovic

Enough from experts, now listen to me-

Well folks continue to blow me away with what can be done with JavaScript and Ajax. Seriously. Yahoo Pipes is amazing. Truly. I can remix various feeds make out my kind of mashup by filtering out non-essentials feeds that I really don’t care about. The beauty of Pipes is its simplicity. Anyone can get it in few minutes well just once go through the modules function and start building Pipes in few minutes you don’t need to be Geeky Plumber to setup the Pipes. I can build my Pipes, share it and host it all for free. The best thing is that I can clone others Pipes, edit it, make changes and give it’s my own name . My mind is still buzzing thinking about all that can be done with Pipes.

The easiest way to understand Pipes is to build one yourself - try editing one of our sample Pipes for a quick start.

So I tried to make my own Pipes

My first target was Indiatimes RSS feed

Just go through it http://info.indiatimes.com/rss/#etfeeds

You can find that there is so many RSS feeds, If I go on subscribing them then it’ll consume my whole day also left bar will filled up Indiatimes feeds only they do have combined all feed to single OPML feed but Google reader can’t read OPML feeds. But when I learn about Yahoo Pipes I said yessssssssssss…..Now I can grab all latest news from Times of India

I'm not goin to describe here how I made my 1st Pipes to run coz I'm not in mood to write long post.

Hitch(ki) in the Pipes

Not everything is flowing smoothly as it seems to betill now the only hitch that I found in smoothly running Pipes is the prob-lemo wid pubdate, first I couldn't understand whats going cause when I Merged all AIMK blogs and run the pipe I got strange order of feeds at the begining I thought I must have done something wrong and tried to rearrange the modues like ascending and descending order of pubdate but tough luck later when I went through discussion board I got it whats wrong.

Well the element in RSS is based in the 1982 RFC822 Date Format (Sat, 09 Feb 2007 10:00:01 GMT) rather than the ISO 8601 Date Format the most XML formats conform too.

.. the sort function sorts them alphanumerically instead of recognising them as dates - so a descending sort starts with dates beginning Fri, then Mon, Sat, Sun, Thurs, Tues, Weds - that's why people are seeing such weird sort orders!

Just can't help myself from getting weirdo sequence of feeds.

Good thing is that their developers know about it say it's on their ToDo List.

Water - The Crisis of 21st Century

Few of days ago I was arguing with my colleagues regarding Crisis of 21st century but my dear colleagues were not ready to accept water as crisis of the century so I decided to write a blog for which I did some Googling n' research also I've posted following info in my other blogs also like Dobato blog which is a collection my different articles n study materials of my MBA days.

"Water is life, Water is death"

Water is one of the most precious elements of life on the planet. It is critical for satisfying the basic human needs, health, food production, energy and maintenance of regional and global ecosystems.

Over 70% of the human body is made up of water. A human being may survive without food for several days but water deprivation can kill a person within a matter of hours.

Life is, therefore, tied to water, as it is tied to air and food. And food is indeed tied to water.

Water could well be the only natural resource to touch all aspects of human civilization.

"No single measure would do more to reduce disease and save lives in the developing world than bringing safe water and adequate sanitation" (Kofi Annan).

Issues of food or health or sanitation, environment or cities or energy production, the 21st century has to deal with water quality and management.

Yet, while water sustains life, it can also cause deaths if contaminated. Some of the deadliest diseases, which kill millions around the world every year, are carried in unclean water. In fact, unsafe water and sanitation cause an estimated 80% of all diseases in the developing world, where as much as 90% of waste water is discharged without treatment. An estimated 50 to 100 lakhs people die every year-including one child every 15 second from diseases caused by poor water quality; 25,000 people are dying every day from malnutrition.

"Sold Out of Water"

The Crisis

Let us look at some of the different dimensions of this crisis.

About 120 crores of people (20% of the global population) spread across 40 countries do not have access to safe water; 240 crores of people lack adequate sanitation services.

There is no more fresh water on earth today than there was 2000 years ago when population was 3% of its current size! In the past 100 years, the world population was tripled but water use by humans has multiplied sixfold. Women in Africa and Asia walk an average distance of 6 km a day to collect water.

Fresh water fishing, a key livelihood activity around the world, is under threat. More than 20% of the world's known - 10,000 - fresh water fish species have become extinct, been threatened or endangered in recent decades.

Daily water use per person is about 600 litres in residential areas of North America and Japan and 250-350 litres in Europe whereas per capita water use per day in sub Sahara region is a mere 10 litres. (Per capita use of water in India is about 50 litres per day).

It is reckoned that one flush of a western toilet uses as much water as the average person in the developing world uses for a whole day's washing, drinking, cleaning and cooking!

"The battle for life"

Water, the Cause of the Third World War!

Over the next 20 years, the world's population will increase from the present 6.4 billion to an estimated 7.2 billion whereas the average supply of water per person is expected to fall by one-third. The hardest hit will be the poorest.

According to UN, by 2025 as many as 500 crores of people will be facing water shortage; as many as 270 crores will face severe water shortages, if the world continues consuming water at the present rate.

Water scarcity is estimated to cause annual global losses of 350 million tonnes of food production by 2025.

Save every drop of water today, because water shortage could well lead to the next world war. Unless appropriate measures are taken immediately, the world would soon face threats to global good supply; further environmental damage and ongoing health risks for the hundreds of millions of people lacking access to clean water.

"Fierce national competition over water resources has prompted fears that water issues contain the seeds of violent conflict" (Kofi Annan).

There are 215 trans-boundary rivers whose basins cover 50 percent of all land areas; 32% of the national boundaries are formed by water. Consequently, UN has identified 300 potential water conflict zones.

"Crisis of the Century"

Why the Crisis?

Water covers 70% of the planet but more than 97.5% of the surface water is ocean which, obviously, is not usable in industry, agriculture or as drinking water. (Desalination is far too expensive to be for widespread adoption).

The fresh water on which the world depends represents a mere 2.5% of available water. But then, three-quarters of this fresh water is trapped in the form of snow and ice. That is, all that is available for human use (and, of course, for animals as well) is 0.6% of the surface water!

Population growth, climate change, overuse/ misuse of water and pollution of available water are the principal causes of the crisis.

Irrigation accounts for two-thirds of global use of fresh water. Farmers use water less efficiently and withdraw more water to compensate for water losses. In developing countries 60% is wasted or used inefficiently.

Major sources of water pollution are human wastes, industrial wastes and chemicals and pesticides and fertilizers used for farming.

We have been pumping groundwater faster than aquifers can recharge.

Most of the water reservoirs are suffering reductions in storage capacity as a result of sedimentation caused by deforestation; on an average 1 % of the water storing capacity of the storage reservoirs is being lost annually.

Much of the municipal water supply is lost before it reaches consumers, leaking out of water mains, pipes or faucets or disappearing through illegal taps.

In plain terms, as far as fresh water is concerned, the world has been living way beyond its means.

Of all the planet's renewable resources, fresh water may well be the most unforgiving;difficult to purify, expensive to transport and impossible to substitute.

"Water is not like oil. There is no substitute. If we continue to take it for granted, much of the earth is going to run short of water or food - or both."

I'm back n' I know you all are waiting for snaps of my Nepal tour that I promised to share wid you. Well I clicked 2154 times wid my Nikon coolpix S9, pura paisa Wasoool, coz I captured memorable n' priceless snaps of my grand parents n' our old home at countryside that place still rocks which we left 22 years ago, I like most about it is da kind of peace n' clean environment.

During these 10 days tour I almost visited all my relatives I really couldn't figured out the kind of complex relation like what is my relation with them n' how would pay regards to them either touching their feet or just simply paying my deep regards through "Namaste" for instance we visited my dad's elder sister's brother in law's son gosh I have no idea what should I call them but later I got to know I needed to call him bro.

Resolutions for the year of Bond 007

1) Switching to Vegetarian food (partially) - No chicken, no Mutton, no Giraffe, no elephants only Fish (good for health) (only small fishes not whale and sharks)
Reason - I'm gaining lots of weight (8 kilos in 7 months)

2) No Daru Saru - I've started intake of alcohol for the 1st in my life from 31st dec 2006 2006 - REASON - I was getting alienated from my MBA 8 subgroup (RGP), before that I used to say that I get very violent after having alcohol in order to avoid alcohol offerings after MBA Now I don't think so that I need to have it any more.

3) Never hurt myself anymore (emotionally)

4) I'll start working out to maintain my waist line no more aaaram.....(recently bought Nike Joggers)

5) I'll start enjoying every single second of the journey of my life. (fulltooo masti no regrets n' lookin back)

I'm fed up with Sacred Matrix word and this template, sometimes I get feeling of get locked up in a single template and title I need freshness and change, I always think of changing it and starting a fresh new title & template but I just can't take out couple of hours for it coz now days our all big big bosses are out of the country and I'm the only last man standing who just can't take risk of getting sick and take 1-2 days leave right now I'm suffering with Cold, body ache and damn head ache still holding the post tightly cause there is three audit inspectors from our different clients who will be like lost a child without me.

Inspired with "No One" I started an anonymous blogging but soon i realised I'm not comfortable with anonymous blogging.

I'm also thinking of buying a new URL, something like www.rajeshrana.net in Rs 500/ year, also i don't have to worry about hosting it which usually cost around 4-5 thousand bucks/ month, cause there is www.wordpress.com which allows to host our blog in their server actually if u open a blog in wordpress you can publish it on your personal domain.

Most of us would hunt for that English language translation flag and if that's missing, we will copy-paste the site address in Google Translate website or Yahoo Babelfish to convert the site content to English.

Way too much effort. Now let's reverse the roles and say somebody from China or Japan visits your blog (written in English). The foreign visitor will have exactly the same problems that you faced when you were visiting that non-English website above.

Since more than 65% of web users speak a language other than English, it is essential that you provide language translation features in your blog so that you don't miss the non-English speaking traffic.

So when an Arabic visitor passes your English blog, he or she can just click the Arab flag to translate the website into his native language - That way you don't loose a visitor plus he could even subscribe if the content is good even if written in another language.

My recent favorite song for the last few days is “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai” from the movie “Woh Lamhe”. The lyrics is beautifully written and Kay Kay has sung brilliantly.

The recent hit ‘Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai’ (Am I smitten?) from Woh Lamhe (Those moments) movie is a blatant lift from Peterpan’s ‘Tak Bisakah’. Peterpan is an Indonesian band and everyone in Indonesia knows the song well. Pritam added a weird sound (something like Seyakamiyaaa) at certain intervals of the song and The music is just too good especially the opening guitar riff.

Even though it is a blatant lift of the track “Tak Bisakah” by PeterPan(mp3 here) but still I would like to thank the music director, Pritam for introducing us with such a good music. I like the remix of Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai voila! Here comes a hit for the Indian audience.

I first time went to someplace else to celebrate my birthday there which was a month ago from the day we went but my friends are like that they won’t leave you until and unless they take party from you for anything like you have got new pair of shoes – it’s party time, you have got new Levis Denim – it’s party time even for a new pen they’ll take party from you.

So we went there and had rocking time, cake was really good which was from their side, Everybody ordered something to drink coz you can find only snacks over there no food, it was my turn to order and I got my self deep down into the menu and gosh this menu was 8 page long with hell no. of drinks which I never heard of later I found one section which was non alcoholic section – Mocktail I said one Cool breeze pineapple Mocktail. Everybody started laughing coz it was ladies section coz men usually consider as alcoholic animal. But I resist and ordered Cool breeze pineapple Mocktail that I drank in one shot. It was like ice water with little lime and pineapple juice.

So I decided to write it down.

They Claim :

Journey in local trains of Kolkata is full of adventure and surprises, every time you'll meet with new kind of experiences either it is densely crowded compartment and a guy next to you is so that you can hear his breathing and more over you can smell it coz god knows when he last brushed his black teaths, or either it is perfect harmony of different Jhalmuriwalas or Badamwala who come one after one and shout 5 inch from you in order to create a need inside of you for those chatpati Jhalmuri and surprisingly you take out your wallet and ask it for Rs 2, Or either it is a guy who carries lots of Chinese goods who has one flat price for all the goods whether you choose a fancy Chinese Scale, bundle of needle or that toy gun which you wanted most when you use to go Dushara fair during your schools days but never pleased your mom to get one.

You can also find an old man sitting next to you (if you are lucky enough get one seat for you) then you can pray with god that please end this journey as fast as you can coz that old man won’t stop give up his lecture on todays youth until your stop comes.

Like that I found many people after starting traveling coz every Saturday I travel through local trains to visit my Mom and Bro. Yesterday when I was coming to Calcutta I heard a loud voice, a man was shouting with his full strength 1^st I couldn’t understand what’s going on coz compartment was fully packed, and I was standing in of front door so that I can collect some fresh air to breathe, when I pushed myself little inside I saw a man with small booklets, at a glance I couldn’t get him coz he was shouting in peculiar style also my Bengali is very weak although I’m staying here in Calcutta from last 9 years but never tried to learn it fluently I can understand it but I got to concentrate on every single word. So when I concentrated upon his tone I found that he is asking questions.

Some of the questions were -

Do you know what the full form of SIM Card is?
Do you know who is the only female who grabed two noble prizes?
Do you know a 17 years old girl who circled this earth 7 times ?
Do you know any creature that has ear on his palm?
Do you know any family who got 4 noble prizes?

And he goes on asking such questions and everytime I come up with same answer "No".

First I thought that nobody is going to buy such booklet but that man marketed his product so well that everybody in that compartment now wanted to know what are the answers of those questions and within 10 minutes he was sold out.

80/20 99/1 Principle

You must have heard of 80/20 Principle of pareto. Which says that in anything a few (20 percent) are vital and many(80 percent) are trivial. It is applicable everywhere from management books to our daily life. Like in our day to day life 20% works are important and 80% ain't so. But my boss ruled out ~~80/20~~ principle and follow 99/1 Principle. which means that if I do 99% of the work correctly and if I could'nt able accomplish 1% of it correctly then it means I'm a total disaster and can't work properly. At first this 99/1 philosophy of my boss has demotivated me and increased the frustration level but now days I just ignore his all comments and try to focus on 99% of work. In this case ignorance is bliss for me.

End of Induction Period

Induction period is going to end within 2 days, intially our company has fixed duration for one month, which was divided into 4 modules each with 7 days but we have learnt everything very fast, today is 5th day of indcuction and have already finished 3 modules, with this pace we'll finish up with induction in 7 days.

Day 5th is turning into the day of learning loads and loads of new things. today I've learnt many things like the things which delays the whole process of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) organisation. There are series of events which shuld be look into in order to reduce the delays You'll be amased to know that apart from being WCM organisation there are certain areas which cause unnecessary delays and those floats can't be removed.

1st two are ok with me coz I can do it very well but I feel that I can face problem while building relationship coz here in India relationship building means buttering which I hate real bad. What I've observed that people don't know anything and still they are doing well just b'coz of ISRbt - Indian Satnadard Relationship Building Tectics.

In my openion you can build relationship by your work, you can impress others with exceeding their expectation with your work.

1st Day in Company

Officially me and my friends Jitender Joined our company on 27th may but on that day we just filled up the forms and went through medical check up, our companies doctors is like retired army officer...very strict.

So today our actual training has started as we joined here as a management trainee and we don't know anything about the companies whole procedure i mean how things is done over here so we are under induction period for one month. today we learned a lot and enojyed a lot while learning.

Only sad about the company is tht there is no Orkut..... which our server has banned from bombay headquater i don't know why... may be they want us to concentrate more on work then orkuting.

Day before yesterday I finished Angels and Demons of Dan brown, and I found it as intresting as heard, actually reading books is not piece of cake for me, Coz I start reading with full of zeal but when I reach at the middle of a book I loose my all feel of reading actally I loose intrest that's why this time I did some homework before reading Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons of Dan brown which I read one after another and I found it so intresting that I finished Da Vinci Code in 9 hours in three shift and Angels and Demons in 8-9 hours in two shift. It's like an achievement for me.

The most intresting thing I liked in Angels and Demons is Illuminati's ambigrams, so I tried to draw but could'nt, John Langdon is the famous ambigram maker who created all the ambigrams of Angels and Demons book.

Yesterday Camelpost post a comment on ISB graduate gets Rs 1 crore salary offer, and he revealed some astonishing facts about AICTE, IIM and ISB.

IIMB will have a Singapore Shanty 4700 Sqft, 3 hour working day and just one faculty to conduct world class Management Education. I wonder if the above meets so called AICTE specifications. On the contrary ISB which has world class facilities at Hyderabad has been questioned by AICTE about maintaining standards. Its time the AICTE joke is called off. AICTE you stand exposed in your standards.

I do agree with Camelpost thatAICTE is playing some kind games with ISB standards.

Today I've got mail from my friend Richard who got very frustated with violent reform activities which is going on for democracy in Nepal.

heay friiend whaaat is up ? hope urrrrrrrrr fine overrrrrrr therrrrrrre. well i am also fine herrrrrrrrre and it's quite difficult here to live a life coz the nepal is closed from 24 and it is 5 here of nepal . well whole shops and buses and other vehicle s r completely shut down here in nepal .and it is quite difficult for every person coz foood i mean to say rice and other item is almost finished and shopkeeper has started hiding the items coz they themselves r in neeed of foood well friend do tell you friendsand your parents also about nepal's situation. well the reasons of the long strike is just the absence or not existing of the democracy.
well people r agitating or forming a long procession and shouting and saying that ther e will be strike in whole nepal unless the democracy comes well poor people r dying by not getting the foo d especially the works well right now i am in cyber cafe and outside the people r shouting right now . well i have to go to my fm station by cycle it's difficult . coz it is about 4 kms from my house . . well the people of cyber cafe r closing shutter and running their businesses very secretly . ok friend here in nepal it is like this only . u keeep enjoying and sake samma nepal maaa na aaaaunu hola . bye bye and seee u sooon in future .

I can undersatnd the situation... everydays bomb blast and bandhs...... i don't know how long this reform process will takes place..... and I don't know whether this reform process will succed or not or it'll be like this for ever... but I hope for the best and I'm optimistic about the fact that after every dark night, dawn will come with the ray of hope and bright future....

How to celebrate Easter:

Hide decorated Easter eggs for children to find, to represent coming out of the womb/tomb (i.e., Easter's intertwined themes of fertility and resurrection)
Take part in an Easter egg roll. The White House first hosted one during the administration of Rutherford B. Hayes

Long ago I read this article which i found very useful and wanted to share but I don't why I did'nt, well here is the 56 way from A to Z of speeding up your dumb computer -

You probably have heard of people telling you that you can speed up your computer by stopping unwanted services. But when you look at the list of services running, you are unsure of what to shut down and what not to. Here's a small guide to help you choose what to shutdown in a list of common processes/services.
Useless services:
• AdobeLM Service – Not all have this service, still its useless, just disable it if you have it.
• Alerter – Disable this if you aren’t on a network because you wont receive an alert thus.
• Application Management – Set this to manual.
• Automatic Updates – Disable it if you don’t require auto updating and patching of windows. Pretty useless if you use auto-patcher by neowin for updating your windows. Saves bandwidth.
• ClipBook – Disable this if you aren’t on a network since you don’t need to share anything then.
• Computer Browser – Disable this too if you aren’t on a network as then you don’t have to browse and monitor connected computers.

I'm desparately waiting for Rakesh Roshan's new venture, titled Krrish, which is said to be the follow-up to Koi Mil Gaya. Hrithik is doing very hard for this movie, who returned recently from a month long rigorous training in Hong Kong under Hollywood action director Tony Ching, will soon leave for China to train under the same stunt director for a week more Krrish will abound in action and special effect.

Rohit Mehra Jr., aka Krrish, played by Hrithik Roshan, is a man with extraordinary strength, speed and intelligence. He loves the calmness and beauty of natural mountainous and surroundings where he is living. He comes across Priya (Priyanka Chopra), a beautiful girl from Singapore, who has come there for camping and trekking and falls in love with her. Rohit is left heart broken when she finally has to leave for Singapore. When Sonia, Krrish grandmother (Rekha) sees how lonely he has become, she encourages him to go to Singapore and woo Priya back.
Rohit, on reaching Singapore, finds it to be a completely new and fascinating world. He learns fast and adapts to it quickly. He makes new Chinese friends in Singapore and woos Priya. While trying to woo Priya in a circus, there is a short circuit and the tent of the circus catches fire. The circus performers get stranded on top and start screaming for help. Rohit realizes that he can help them. He sees a slightly broken burnt Mask lying on the ground nearby. He dons the mask for hiding his identity and save them in a spectacular manner. This heroic deed makes the Masked Man a hero, and a nationwide search is launched for this new hero in Singapore.

Krrish first named as Koi tumsa nahin which later changed to Krrish. I think Krrish will be one of the greatest bollywood sci-fi movie ever.

Do you believe in Ghost??

I don't, I've encounter three times with ghost like creatures, still I don't believe in ghost, reason they simply don't exist. In my opinion ghost is creation of mental illusion, when our brain gets stimulated either by extreme pain or fear or anything else then it creates some kind of optical hallucination.

Take an example of optical hallucination : Every year in average 4000 people in US alone rise after death, and they claim that they have experience the life after death, all those things that usually everybody who rise after death talk about like they saw one bright tunnel through which they went to heaven blah blah... but experiments have proved that when our brain face extreme pain, just like before the death our brain starts showing fixed hallucinating images like bright tunnels, Eden garden etc.

Lets get back to the topic, actually what happens when someone see something which he couldn’t figure out and he feels that it is some kind of ghost like activity then he spread over exaggerated word of mouth and that WOM spreads with extra butter and spices to others this procedure continues. In villages you must have listen lots of ghost encounter stories they all are WOM and nothing else.

But still when I recall my three different encounters with ghosts then somewhere at my heart I do believe that there is something.

ISB graduate gets Rs 1 crore salary offer

While having my dinner last night, I heard in news that stidents from ISB B school bagged more than 1 crore as their annual salary so I tried to do some googling I found following info.

After IIMs, it is the turn of Hyderabad-based Indian School of Business (ISB) to hog limelight.A student of the Hyderabad-based ISB has broken all previous salary records after bagging an offer of Rs 1.04 crore from an Indian IT company."The highest international salary this year is $233,800. It crosses the magical Rs 1 crore and is up by 29 per cent from last year," said Rammohan Rao, Dean, Indian School of Business. This is the highest salary a student from any management school in India has ever been offered.

Quantum leap
Entry-level salaries to students from IIMs and the ISB have seen a quantum leap in the last two years alone.In 2005, an IIM Ahmedabad student was hired outside India for $1,52,000 per annum. In 2006, an IIM Banglaore broke that record by bagging an offer of $1,93,000.In India, an IIM Ahmedabad student was recruited for Rs 14.5 lakh in 2005. The number went up more than twice in 2006 when a student was hired for Rs 34 lakh.The trend continues at the ISB too. Last year, an ISB student was hired for $1,81,000 per annum for an overseas posting. It jumped to $2,33,800 this year.Within India, the highest offer in 2005 was Rs 20.5 lakh. This year it is Rs 30.33 lakh.But IIM-Bangalore is reconsidering its policy of going public with the students' salaries after toppers this year expressed their unhappiness over the publicity.
IT, real estate offers
The best offers to ISB students have come from the IT, real estate and health sectors. Female students have done much better than last year and have been hired for top posts like Chief Operating Officer (COO), Vice President and Head of International Marketing."It does feel good to be part of it. I am not looking at Rs 1 crore or breaking a record. But I have got what I wanted. I have got into finance," said Anindya who was recruited by Tata Motors as a manager.Enthused by the industry response to its students, ISB is planning to increase the strength of the 2006-07 batch from the present 345 to 400 plus.
